The other day, I was stopped by a barista at The Good Cup in Franklin,TN. She was 27, bubbly and free spirited. Without any hesitation, totally spontaneously, she just asked if she could be my friend. Reminded me of grade school, how easy it used to be to just...make friends. Evidently, "I look nice and trustworthy," and it was hard for her to meet people in our age group that weren't married w/kids. She walked out from behind the counter and gave me a post it note with her name and email address...said she hoped I didn't think it was weird...weird?! Are you kidding...friend potential...yay! I'm right there with ya!

Crazy Monday
I woke up too late--because I went to bed too late--and since I can't afford to get less than 8 hours of sleep what other option did I have but to sleep in?! Ask any of my friends, if I haven't had at least 8 hours of sleep avoid speaking to me at all costs...lol!
I ate some Red Mill Oat Meal, showered, and RAN out the door to a lunch meeting that went really well. However, I was still in a Tylenol PM daze so they could have a very different opinion and I would never even know ;)
I am glad to announce Lara, Jennie and I are making progress on our book, "28, 29, 30"...LOVE IT! The website should be live within the next few days. I think it is soooo important for women our age to support each other and share how we are feeling. We are leaving "young adulthood" and entering into plain old "adulthood"....what?!...really?!
Someone needs to update my brain because it didn't get that memo. I don't think my eyes are working correctly either. High schoolers look like they're in elementary school to me and 50year olds look like they just graduated college. Ok, ok, that's a bit dramatic but you get my point! We need this outlet so we can talk about it. We all have something to share and we can all help one another out. Most importantly, we need to know...WE ARE NOT ALONE!
Case in point, I have been stopped so many times the last few weeks and somehow, randomly this age old topic keeps coming up. Now, if you know me, you know I don't believe anything is random--so--I get the point and I'm working on it!!!
Please visit our website and blog, enter our contests (maybe one of your stories or quotes will make it into the book!), connect with other "regular adults", and let's make this transition fun because it should be.

My Blogging Virginity Down The Drain
I write all the time....music, lyrics, poetry, chapters for my new book. You would think this would be a piece of cake. Funny how once you know people can read what you write the minute you write it your inner critic comes out of it's hiding place ;)
There's nothing like walking the plank....
(I have to warn you up front-I have the tendency to be a bit dramatic!)
I was having lunch with-I'll call her my female "soulmate"-yesterday when I told her I was writing a book. She is a fantastic author who's opinion I value greatly. Anywho, she loved the idea and suggested I start writing a blog.
So here I am-writing a blog to mark my journey as I inch closer and closer to the big 3-0!
